Three Necklaces

I love when I get to do custom orders. Its gives me a chance to stop what I may be doing at the time and take someone else's memories and make them into new unique pieces that they can enjoy. Recently I did just that with a customer who lives in Illinois. She had several of her mother's pieces and wanted me to make three necklaces that were going to be passed onto family members. So I did and I am so pleased with how they turned out. She recently messaged me that she loved them. So of course I am thrilled that she trusted me enough to turn her memories into one of a kind pieces that will make new memories.
a look into the creative process :)

these are vintage earrings and a vintage pearl necklace. So beautiful together.

Vintage earrings meet the vintage pin. You are going to be beautiful together :)

When I saw this cameo pin I knew exactly what I needed to do with it. It is so beautiful!!

Love!!!

For the Love of Hankies

So, these beauties are headed to Country Living Ohio!!! And I am so so excited!! They are actually tagging along with modernjune and I couldn't thank Kelly enough for her kindness in letting my hankie necklaces be apart of her amazing set up. And you heard it right inside the glass are pieces of vintage handkerchiefs. I don't know about y'all but I carry a hankie. It was one of my grandmothers which gives me a sense of nostalgia. Honestly a small love affair with them :) So with that said I found several of them at an estate sale. Some were not in the best condition. But that didn't matter because I took the best parts of them and made them the star attraction in these necklaces. I am so obsessed with making them right now.
Can you imagine the lady who embroidered this piece of the hankie. So sweet!! I didn't feel bad cutting into it because it was riddled with holes. But no matter because the sweetest piece now has a life as a necklace bound for new journeys. I will be making more of these for my etsy shop so stand by and if you are in the Ohio area stop by moderjune's booth to scoop one up.

A Space With Friends

Ok for a while now I have been thinking about having a fixed space at an antique mall. No tent or fighting the elements. Just a nice fluffy clouds in the sky space. With that said I am not alone in this endeavor Jenni and Tiffin are my partners. Which enabled us to have a bigger space and feed off of all our similar aesthetic. So the booth is located at The Bone Yard on Raymond Hill in Newnan, Ga.

It is such a lovely place full of very beautiful booths and unique pieces. My jewelry is there, vintage clothing, and happy to say furniture pieces that I have repurposed. The other gals have an array of amazing art, jewelry, lamps, furniture, home goods, etc...... to sum it up yummy warm your heart goodies.;) Plus we will be constantly changing things up and keeping it fresh.
I call this the vintage wall. I have so much stuff and just sticking to one wall is a good test for me:) Have to excuse the photos the light was really off.

I love that I can do a bit of repurposing of furniture. The table is mine but that amazing headboard/ foot board is Tiffin's

jenni's amazing art!! Could you just fall over for that white door!!! I love it!!

crazy busy summer

Hey all... As you probably figured out I took a nice long break from blogging and the computer in general (Natalie wink wink). It was really cathartic and your going to laugh at me but I read a book. A book y'all!!  I haven't been able to get through an entire book since the babe was born. A friend of mine and I joke that getting through a magazine is or was the equivalent to reading a book these days :).

But in all honesty after Revival which was, no lie y'all, 106 degrees that weekend. I needed to recuperate. We all did. It was a good show but boy it was so hot and draining.I do want to thank all the people that came out regardless of the heat. And also a big thanks to all the gals that came to hear me speak at my workshop. You all made it so worth while!! And of course my booth mates Tiffin and Jenni I wouldn't have wanted to be with any other girls :)

And after it was all said and done summer became really busy. But more of that soon to come. Here are some pics of Revival. Thanks to my mom in law for taking the photos (I forgot my camera due to heat brain) and I grabbed one from Jenni's blog of all of us.

we were so so hot but what saved us all were these wet towels called Frog Toggs.

Love that I was able to bring vintage clothing to the show. And it was a big hit :)

The Revival

I am so excited about this weekend I am going to be a part of the Vintage Revival show. It is a new show/festival that the city of Atlanta really needed to have. It is something quite special. I am super excited as well as a bit terrified to be speaking at one of six work shops thru out the day. My workshop will be on how to find and wear vintage clothing and jewelry. Not only will I have my jewelry there but an array of vintage clothing, shoes, hats, and purses. So if you are in the Atlanta area this weekend come by and say hi!!
oh I have got so much more to bring :)

I love how this table turned out. I thought how cool would it be to attach a vintage
tray to it and make it a chalk board. Swoon!

Road Trip Memories

Just about an hour south from us is this amazing place called Callaway Gardens. And a couple weekends ago we thought lets take a little road trip so we packed a lunch and headed south. K used to go as a child and so did I. We have so many fun memories of Callaway and we want our little guy to make his own memories now.
So there are a ton of things to do. Trails to hike, camping, and a great lake with a sandy beach. But my most favorite is the Butterfly House. It is a giant glass green house with the most beautiful flowers and butterflies. They fly around you and if you are lucky they will sometimes land on you. Which is the bees knees. I snapped a ton of pictures of our day and I have some to share so hope you enjoy them. xo

when I spied this little snail I just gasped!! How amazing!! I wanted to invite him over for tea :)

he wanted to jump in with the fish :)

This butterfly was so hard to photograph. When it was flying its wings looked like tissue paper. So beautiful!!

These were the most amazing flowers.

so beautiful!
